About This Skill

Drive the Future with Cleaner and Cheaper Energy! This programme equips students with the technical skills required to convert petrol-powered vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems safely and professionally. Trainees gain an understanding of CNG technology, fuel system components, safety standards and environmental benefits. Practical sessions include installing cylinders, reducers, injectors, filling valves, pressure lines and electronic control systems. Students also learn leak testing, calibration, diagnostics, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting of converted vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Upon completion, participants will be able to perform safe CNG conversions, maintain dual-fuel systems and diagnose operational faults. The programme prepares graduates for careers in automotive workshops, energy companies and the growing alternative fuel industry.
