Build Modern Spaces with Precision Aluminium Craftsmanship! This programme equips students with the practical skills required to fabricate and install aluminium windows, doors, partitions and related architectural fittings. Trainees learn about aluminium profiles, accessories, glass types, measurements and workshop safety procedures. Students practise cutting aluminium sections, assembling frames, fitting rollers and locks, installing glazing, sealing joints and aligning sliding and casement systems. Emphasis is placed on accurate measurement, neat finishing, structural stability and the use of fabrication tools such as mitre saws, drills and rivet equipment. At the completion of the course, participants will be capable of producing residential and commercial aluminium fittings to professional standards. They will also learn basic costing, material estimation and installation techniques that support employment in construction projects or the establishment of a profitable fabrication business.
Mandatory Skills Qualification (MSQ): completing this skill alongside your ND/HND earns you a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificate, per NBTE requirements for all polytechnic graduates. Choose it as a vertical skill if it matches your core course of study, or horizontal if it's in a different field entirely.
