Add Colour, Protection and Value to Every Building! This programme provides practical training in professional painting techniques used in residential, commercial and industrial construction. Students learn surface preparation, paint types, colour combinations and finishing methods. Hands-on sessions include wall preparation, sanding, filling cracks, priming, brush and roller application, spray painting, decorative finishes, texture creation and paint maintenance. Trainees also learn material estimation, scaffold safety and proper use of painting equipment. Upon completion, graduates will be able to execute high-quality interior and exterior painting projects with professional finishes. The programme prepares participants for employment in construction companies or self-employment as professional painting contractors.
Mandatory Skills Qualification (MSQ): completing this skill alongside your ND/HND earns you a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificate, per NBTE requirements for all polytechnic graduates. Choose it as a vertical skill if it matches your core course of study, or horizontal if it's in a different field entirely.
